Dear colleagues,
greetings from the last ExBo meeting of the ERIC Forum!
One main information for you: as you might remember from the discussion in Brussels in January, ERIC Forum and EIRO Forum have commonly approached the Commission to have a general discussion with DG RTD (Marc Lemaître and co) and they have agreed to meet some time in June.
The discussion is expected to be a a rather "high level" which means not only with very few people (chair and vice-chair of both fora), but also about generic topics (MFF, FP10...) and more generally the place of RIs in the future of Europe. I don't need to remind you of the various background factors that currently put pressure on our operations, in Europe and globally...
If you have specific ideas or points you'd like to bring to the discussion, you are welcome to send them to me. If you prefer, you can of course send them directly to Antje and Allen.
Two other pieces of information:
- there will be a Polish Presidency event on Technology Infrastructures on 6-7 of May in Warsaw, draft agenda is attached.
- there will most likely be a Polish Presidency event on Research Infrastructures in Krakow in June (possible dates 10-12 June).
