Dear colleagues, greetings from the meeting of the Executive Board of the ERIC Forum! Here are some elements that could be of interest for you: - attached are two documents: the revised version of the European Charter for Access to RIs (it has been prepared by the Commission and is presented in track changes so you can see the details) + a summary of the key changes, captured in a slide. We are not formally asked for comments, but if you have something burning to say about it, please let me know asap and we’ll find a way to be heard in Brussels, despite the holiday season! - at the virtual EF meeting in September, there will be a General Assembly where the question of the renewal of the chair/vice-chair of EF will be discussed. Two options will be on the table: the current duo (Antje Keppler and Allen Weeks) will offer to continue for one more year, as it is possible according to the RoP, OR new candidates will be able to make themselves known for a 2-year term (starting around October). Both solutions will require a vote. - the regular bilateral meetings that were organized between one ERIC and the Commission will soon come to an end. It is suggested that, in the future, similar short virtual meetings would be organized based on one topic discussion and several (3-5) ERICs. If you think of topics that could be relevant for the ENVRI Community, please let me know. Enjoy your summer!
